Questions
Everything people ask
If your question is not here, email us and we will answer it properly rather than pointing you at a policy page.
Before the session
How long before should I apply it?
Forty minutes for Signature cream, forty-five for Max, thirty for the Fine-Line gel. Set a timer — guessing is the single most common reason people think a product failed.
How much do I actually need?
A visible layer you could still see if you looked away and back. Roughly 30 g covers a palm-sized area. Do not rub it in; the cream needs to sit on the surface to work.
Do I have to cover it?
Yes. Cling film or one of our sleeves traps warmth and stops the cream drying out. Uncovered cream loses most of its effect.
Should I tell my artist?
Always. Some have strong preferences, and a few will decline outright. Ask when you book, not when you sit down.
During
How long does it last?
About three hours for Signature, three to four for Max. The Top-Up Spray adds roughly 45 to 60 minutes per application and can be used up to four times.
Can anything be used on broken skin?
Only the Top-Up Spray. It is formulated for it. The creams and gel must go on intact skin before the needle starts.
Will it change how the ink sits?
Not if you remove it fully. Residue is the problem, not the anaesthetic. Wipe thoroughly and dry the skin before stencilling.
Aftercare
When do I start the balm?
Day two. Day one belongs to whatever wrap your artist applied. From day two, clean gently and apply a rice-grain amount two or three times daily.
How long does healing take?
The surface closes in one to two weeks; the deeper skin takes closer to a month. The itchy phase around days four to seven is normal and is when most people damage a tattoo by scratching.
